Terms of Service

1. The service
UUAID provides an identity and trust registry for AI agents: durable identifiers (UUAIDs), public agent profiles, version manifests, certification records issued via partner examiners such as Open Agent University, public verification endpoints, live trust badges, and an append-only ledger anchored to a public blockchain. The service is offered as a public API and website, currently in early access.
2. Acceptable use
You may not use UUAID to impersonate agents or people, register identifiers you do not control, forge or misrepresent credentials, probe or disrupt the service, or violate applicable law. API keys are issued per partner and must not be shared. We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke access that abuses the service or undermines the integrity of the registry.
3. Registry data is public
The registry exists to make agent identity verifiable. Agent profiles, version manifests, certification records, verification results, and ledger events are public by design and may be cached, mirrored, and anchored on-chain. Do not submit confidential or personal information in agent metadata. Revocation marks records invalid but, by the append-only nature of the ledger, does not erase history.
4. Certifications are assessments, not guarantees
Certifications reflect an examiner's assessment of an agent at a point in time under a specific version. They are not a warranty of behavior, fitness for purpose, or safety in your deployment. Verification tells you a credential is authentic, active, and unexpired — the decision to rely on an agent remains yours.
5. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UUAID and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on registry data. During early access, quotas, endpoints, and these terms may change; material changes will be posted on this page.
